Chromium OS is the the open source build of Google’s highly anticipated upcoming web-focused netbook operating system, was made into a thumb-drive-friendly recently by a helpful hacker named Hexxeh. His latest build, ChromiumOS Zero, adds Chrome extension support, speed boosts, and cool stuff.
Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS. See the official announcement on the Google Blog.
You can see the official list of updates at Hexxeh’s blog, The OS still fits on a 1 GB USB drive and is offered as a BitTorrent download from Hexxeh’s site.
