Woolworths SA has just launched a really innovative Facebook campaign for Valentines day. Sometimes liking things on Facebook just isn’t enough. Woolworths has started a petition to get Facebook to add a Love button. This is a super simple campaign, but has been done with a really slick and easy interface.

The application makes use of Facebook’s new profile picture system to “take over” your profile page (optional) and automatically add a tag to your Facebook profile picture.

This is definately a first in South African Facebook marketing, possibly the world. It will be interesting to see how this spreads and if Woolworths can get SA behind them in their quest to bring more love to Facebook.
